Here is a demo with the room extended.  It doesn't look photo-real because I just painted the corridor quickly in Photoshop but a matte painter could do a better job of it and we could include additional elements to add depth and interest to the composition.

Camera Tracking for Set Extensions

Here is a proof of concept for camera tracking where I've recreated some basic geometry.  Next step is for me to extend the room.
